Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) in 2026: The New Commercial Search Layer
AEO is the discipline of engineering content, entities, and authority signals so AI answer engines — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews — select your brand as the answer. The 2026 playbook.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization): engineering pages to rank in traditional search results (Google, Bing SERPs). Still necessary. No longer sufficient.
